PRIVACY POLICY FOR GOAL50 

Goal50 will process your personal data in accordance with:

  • the Data Protection (Bailiwick of Guernsey) Law, 2017 (“the Law”): http://www.guernseylegalresources.gg/CHttpHandler.ashx?id=113397&p=0, and

  • the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”): https://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/EN/TXT/PDF/?uri=CELEX:32016R0679.

Under the GDPR, you have the right to know how Goal50 will process your personal data and this is set out in this Privacy Policy. 

Data processing principles

In accordance with the Law and the GDPR, Goal50 will:

  • process your personal data lawfully, fairly and in a transparent manner;

  • only collect your personal data for a specific, explicit and legitimate purpose(s), and once collected will not further process that data in a manner incompatible with the purpose(s) for which it was collected;

  • ensure that your personal data is processed in a way which is adequate, relevant and limited to what is necessary in relation to the purpose(s) for which it was processed;

  • ensure that your personal data processed is accurate and where applicable, kept up to date. Goal50 will take reasonable steps to ensure that personal data that is inaccurate (having regard to the purpose(s) for which it is processed) is erased or corrected without delay;

  • not keep your personal data in a form that permits your identification you as data subject any longer than is necessary for the purpose(s) for which that personal data is processed; and

  • process your personal data in a manner that ensures its security appropriately, including protecting it against unauthorised or unlawful processing and against accidental loss, destruction or damage, using appropriate technical or organisational measures.

Goal50 will process your name and email address when you sign up to receive e-mails.


Purpose and basis for processing your personal data

Goal50 will use your personal data solely to communicate with you regarding its activities and fundraising initiatives. 

Goal50 will process your personal data on the basis that you have consented to that processing; however, you are free to withdraw that consent at any time. Therefore, an unsubscribe link is included in each email to enable you to unsubscribe.

Retention and sharing of your personal data

Goal50 will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to meet the purposes it was collected it for and to satisfy any legal, accounting and reporting requirements.

Goal50 will not share your personal data with any other person without your consent. 

Your rights in relation to your personal data

You have the rights set out in Part III of the Law. 

In particular, you may:

  • request Goal50 to provide you with a copy of your personal data and ask for it to be updated if it is incorrect; and

  • require Goal50 to delete your personal data where s.21 of the Law applies.

You may also make a complaint to the Office of the Data Protection Authority, Block A, Lefebvre Court, Lefebvre Street, St Peter Port GY1 2JP (https://odpa.gg) if you believe that Goal50 has breached or is likely to breach any substantive provision of the Law, where that breach affects or is likely to affect your personal data or any of your right as a data subject.
